Sayalay Daw Caru Dassini Myanmar , Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon Sasana Yeiktha [Kembali]
I am a Myanmar Buddhist nun who ordained in March 1991 at the Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon Sasana Yeiktha (meditation center), Bahan, Yangon. In 1999, I passed the Dhammacariya degree with the first place position among the nuns in the whole of Myanmar.
From July 1999 to July 2011, I worked as a teacher at Panditarama Shwe Taung Gon Sasana Yeiktha (meditation center), Bahan, Yangon, Myanmar and an interpretor for the Chief Abbot. I taught Pali of all levels to nuns, taught in the Buddhist Culture Training Course, translated dhamma discourses, gave meditation instructions to foreign meditators. I also accompanied the Chief Abbot as an assistant and interpretor on Dhamma missionary trips to the USA, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan (Taipei) etc.
From July 2011, I moved to 30, Parami Road, Parami Yeiktha, Yankin Township, Yangon, Myanmar where I write articles for Buddhist religious magazines, translate and edit Buddhist books. I also travelled to New York, USA to teach the Abhidhamma in English, gave meditation instructions and taught Buddhist Culture classes to the younger generation of ages 6 to 16. I also taught Abhidhamma and meditation in Taiwan for two months from July to September 2013, and taught meditation retreats in Thailand and Macau .
In June 2014, I moved to a small meditation and study center of my own at Accantasukha Center, 687, Ward (32), North Dagon Township, Yangon, Myanmar, where I teach meditation and Buddhist Culture classes. |
